Concrete is primarily used as a construction material, which is made with (Portland) cement, gravel and sand, water and other additives. Hydration is the chemical process, which takes place after concrete is mixed together and then hardens. Water mixes with the cement and then becomes very hard like stone. Different used for concrete include driveways, highways, patios, pillars, blocks, fences, walls, and other architectural structures.

Mixing concrete thoroughly is essential for uniform, high-grade concrete. Different equipment and methods should be capable of effectively mixing concrete materials containing the largest specified aggregate to produce uniform mixtures. Concrete is used in nearly every construction project. Concrete is one of the most structurally sound materials, able to support many times its weight in surface area.
